LEADership Week Recap

Written by Stacy Witham | Jun 24, 2021 5:22:03 PM

Last month we celebrated one full year of the LEADership Academy! The LEADership Academy was born to develop leaders and provide opportunities to all Arbor, Silverthorne, and Elite employees at every level. It is designed to bring the five leadership traits to life through self-aware leadership, intentional skill building, and real-life application.

Over the last year we have graduated 88 participants through the LEADership Academy and currently have a Rising Stars cohort in session, a Trailblazers session set to begin this month, PI trainings set for August and October, and more on the way!

Through engaging in the Academy, we hope participants continue to grow as leaders, better understand their strengths, discover personal opportunities for growth, and engage in learning with and from others.

To help celebrate all of the accomplishments over the last year the Engagement and Development team put together a LEADership Week last month filled with treats, branded goodies, prizes, lunch and learns, thoughts from the Strategy Team, and a scavenger hunt. It was a great week celebrating alongside you and seeing your enthusiasm for the week. We hope you learned something new about the Academy along the way too!

As a part of the scavenger hunt, we asked who has been an influential leader in your professional development at Arbor/Silverthorne/Elite and why. Here are some of the responses we received:

"Darryl Stevenson is a person who instills trust, is easy to speak with, never blurs the lines of being our “boss”, and at the same time hasn’t lost touch with those he oversees - he is accessible and relatable, and a genuinely good guy. I wish there were more of him. Companies could really use his leadership skills, insights, and overall professional applications."

"Bill Rondeau has been showing me the true meaning of being a leader. To put his employees first, to do the things he asks us to do, to guide us through difficult situations... he doesn’t just do it or walk away and sink or swim, he takes every opportunity as a chance to teach."

"Andy Lanham has been a very influential leader to me since starting at this company. He has trusted me and I trust him. He has shown that he knows personalities to try and fit me into the best role possible for me based off my personality."

"Kaleigh Smith has been amazing at training and leading me through many different processes with the Arbor sales team. She continues to have grace and patience as she provides lots of detail to complete these tasks. I would most definitely be lost without her leadership!"

"I do not have just one influential leader here at Arbor, there are many individuals that make my journey successful. I believe the atmosphere in the office is a clear reflection of all the influential management."

"Someone who has been extremely influential in my professional development so far at Arbor is Christian Rector. Christian’s wealth of knowledge about Arbor, and the industry as a whole has been very impactful."

"Abby Springer has become a pivotal person in her ability to develop myself as a professional. Abby is always willing to help guide me through the process and understand the bigger picture that comes with each individual assignment."

"My influential leader would definitely be Daniel Fischer. He has always been one of my biggest cheerleaders at Elite. Cheering me on, pushing me to develop, and giving me the radical candor that I need at times. He has been someone that I lean on for advice as I have developed as a manager. He is always looking for an opportunity to develop someone, and I have begun to adopt that mentality as I begin to engage in conversations with people in different departments."

This is only a snippet of all the responses we received and of all the leaders we have to celebrate here at Arbor/Silverthorne/Elite! We are so grateful for all of you and look forward to another year of the Academy. If you are interested in learning more or have a question regarding Engagement and Development, send us an email!
